It started with a quick search on LinkedIn for sales jobs, knowing that having experience in sales would make her invaluable to any organization. Recently, we had the opportunity to interview Kristina, who’s making waves at Coast, to discuss what brought her to our firm and her insight on working with the team. At Coast, Kristina not only found a job, but a goal-driven work environment surrounded by others who are also looking to navigate their careers to the top. Q: How did you hear about Coast Inc?

A:  I heard about Coast through LinkedIn, where I was able to talk to Abbi in HR. I was searching for a sales job, so it made sense to apply. I had lots of family members that were entrepreneurs growing up and I knew that sales was something that I needed for my own business.



Q: What is it like to work with Coast Inc?

A:  Working with Coast Inc. is a super fun environment. It really pushes you to set goals and hit your goals, short-term and long-term.


Q: How has Coast Inc. helped you achieve your goals?

A:  Coast Inc. has played a significant role in helping me achieve both my professional and personal goals. They provide the tools, resources, and support necessary to grow not only in the business world but also in personal development. Their guidance has been invaluable in shaping my growth on multiple levels.


Q: What does working at Coast Inc. mean to you?

A:  Working with Coast Inc. means making a difference in this world, being able to provide for people, and for yourself as well.


Q: How does Coast fit your personality?

A: Coast Inc. definitely fits my personality because I'm a very fun and extroverted person. I love being around people, talking to people, and I'm also an empath, so helping out people really matches my personality.


Q: What advice would you give to candidates?

A: If someone was unsure about joining Coast, I would start by discussing their goals. I’d ask: Where do you see yourself in 10 years? What about in 5 years? Or even in just 1 year? This helps determine if their vision aligns with what Coast offers and the opportunities we provide. It’s all about finding that connection between their aspirations and what we can help them achieve.


Kristina Smyk hails from a small town in northern Michigan and made the leap to Chicago after graduating from Central Michigan University, where she studied entrepreneurship in the university’s renowned business college. Eager to move to Chicago and gain hands-on experience in the business world, Kristina found her footing at Coast Inc., where she thrives in a merit-based environment that rewards hard work and fosters self-driven success. Before joining Coast, she balanced bartending and other jobs, discovering her love for earning and independence—a passion that aligns perfectly with Coast’s empowering culture. Kristina values the opportunity to grow professionally and personally, leveraging her entrepreneurial mindset and love for networking to make a meaningful impact. For her, Coast is more than a workplace; it’s a place where effort is recognized, goals are achieved, and the world truly feels like your oyster.
