Coast Inc's Corner Chat: Frank Storniolo

Frank never meets a stranger, that much is true. Get him in the room with you and you'll become fast friends. He says that is a key component to his success at Coast Inc. and we couldn't agree more. His hard work, tenacity, and can do attitude has set him on a very successful trajectory in his short tenure at the company. Check out what he has to share about working with our team and his advice to those considering a role here:

Q: How did you hear about Coast Inc?

A: People were recruiting from Layola and I got a call from Shannon. At the time I was working in Alumni Relations helping former students give back to the school. We had a really great conversation and she helped me connect that I was already doing a lot of the duties for the opening at Coast Inc, with my current role. That really helped me jump over to Coast.

Q: Did you have any hesitations before you decided to join the Coast Inc. team?

A: Totally, I would be lying if I said I didn't say I was nervous about the position or that it was a commission based role. But I knew that I wouldn't let myself not work hard or not give the role my all. You don't know what could happen and noting is guaranteed but I knew that if I had a positive mindset and that I was going to give it my all that even though the new position was challenging, I could do it. My parents had some concerns too but I told them to trust me and trust that I was going to work as hard as I could. I am a sponge and I know that I will learn as much as I can, ask questions, and rely on my team. I was able to pick up traction and I now even get to train others.

Q: What are the top reasons you chose to apply?

A: It's nice that the job is close to home and I wanted to gain experience in sales as soon as possible. The work environment and connection with others also was a good part of joining the team. The environment at Coast is a perfect match.

Q: What attracted you to Coast Inc?

A: Interviewing with Lucas- I immediately ran back to my parents telling them about how great he was, professional, good vibes, positive, the right things I wanted to connect.

I could tell that Lucas was being realistic about the role and honest. Knowing that my mom and dad set me up to succeed in life and how much the role matches my personality, I went ahead and decided to give it a try.

Q: What is it like to work with Coast Inc?

A: Working at Coast is like taking all the great parts from all your other jobs and smashing them together. From the camaraderie amongst my coworkers since day 1, to there never being a time where my managers Taylor and Nicole, or the other company leaders haven’t been there to support and help me with jump starting my career and confidence in this chapter of my life. Working with Coast has been a blast so far and one opportunity that I’m glad I capitalized on this position.

Q: How has Coast Inc. helped you achieve your goals?

A: Coast has given me a blueprint on the beginning of my career goals and aspirations. I’ve learned a lot in the 2 months that I’ve been here and I only see myself learning more and on the other side of my goals sooner rather than later. From Taylor and Nicole, and all my coworkers, everyone has been there for me since day 1 and the constant encouragement and reassurance only helped me flourish and get more confident and closer to my goals.

Q: What are the most significant improvement that have resulted from your work?

A: I've gained confidence in myself and improved in my abilities and my time management skills

Q: What does working with Coast Inc. mean to you?

A: Working with Coast is important to me due to the immediate positive atmosphere and great work environment. So far my work ethic and confidence have been growing instead of being stunted.

Q: How does working at Coast Inc. fit your personality?

A: Working at coast fits my personality because my natural skills surround the notion of building relationships and talking with anyone I need to. I am an outgoing guy and love to talk and I’m not afraid to go out of my comfort zone and coast has provided me with the skills and environment to do so. The way the advancements work within the company have helped me succeed quickly because I was to learn as much as I could and now I’m on track to learning how to build my own team and teach others

Q: Who in the company inspires you most?

A: I would say Lucas is my biggest inspiration because he’s been there for me since day 1. He’s been the top guy and top leader for the whole time he’s been there and since I’ve come in that hasn’t changed. He’s always teaching the whole office about what worked for his career path and everyone always listens. It’s no secret that he out performs everyone weekly and is one of the most respected in the office. He is a great teacher and even better trainer and I can’t wait to see where his career takes him.

Q: What advice would you give to potential team members considering a role at Coast Inc?

A: I would tell them to give themselves 6 solid months to prove to themselves that they have the abilities and skills to succeed. Sales is apart of life in multiple ways and starting off in an environment with such great people and the opportunity to grow very quickly will only bode well for entry level candidates and their careers longterm.
